President's Notes
Dear Cherry Creek Angler,
Click here for your March-April Cherry Creek Cast newsletter it is also
posted on the web site. (adobe acrobat file)
I especially want to draw your attention to three items:
Chapter Survey
- Members of Cherry Creek Anglers should have
already received your chapter survey in the mail. The survey
is important because it will provide information about our members'
experience, interests and preferences. From this your chapter
leadership will be able to better plan chapter programs and
activities. The survey also has a prizes raffle for those who
participate, and you could win one of four really useful pieces of
equipment. Pictures of the prizes are in the newsletter and
also posted on the website. Chapter Survey Flyer (adobe acrobat file)
Tomahawk
Fishing Day Trip (April 21st) - This is the
first of summers five fishing opportunities for members to enjoy each
other, share experiences and catch fish. A flyer with
complete information will be available at the April 12th meeting, and
is also posted on the website. Come and enjoy a day in the
exhilarating openness of beautiful South Park. Please contact
the host by email or phone and let him know you're joining us. (I
already know of nine planning to go -- three couples and some others.)
Click here for Flyer - it is posted on the web site. (adobe acrobat file)
Cub Scouts Trailblazer
Camp (May 19th) - Volunteers needed! Two of us
volunteered last year and it was a blast! The newsletter
describes what we did, and this year is more of the same -- except we
need more hands & feet to help out. Come along and
make a youngster happy; you'll experience how good it helps you feel
too. Flyer (adobe acrobat file)
Hope you enjoy the newsletter. Be sure to check out the
calendar and schedule to take part in some of the fishing &
interesting field/fishing trips that are planned.
Tight lines!
Dennis

Yes,
the
Brachycentrus Caddis Hatch, but more … much more!
All the major Arkansas hatches starting in April/May around Tax Day and
Mothers Day, and on into the season – BWO, Golden Stones, Red
Quills and Hoppers ... also the best times, places and strategies to
fish these hatches.
A sociology/criminology professor for 25 years, Bill Edrington has
owned Royal Gorge Anglers in Canon City, CO since 1990, and has become
one of the leading Colorado fly fishing entomologists. In
addition to teaching fly fishing, and training guides how to teach fly
fishing, Bill is an author and outdoor photographer with his current

Northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado and after having fished
around the world, still considers his home waters to be his
favorite.
